Baby Buggy Gift Card Holders

The minute I saw these really cute baby buggies on Paper Craft Central, I knew I had to make one.  Not only did I make one, but I made 2!  One in pink and one in blue.

I made the pink one for a great friend and his wife who had a baby girl in May.  The blue one I made for a dear friend to give her cousin as a baby shower gift.

The flat top, where the bow is, opens up, and a gift card, (or money), fits perfectly inside.  Here is a top view of the buggies:

I must admit, when I first made the pink one, I was intimidated by the project.  There are many steps and many ways for me to mess it up.  It took me a month to finish the project.  Not that I worked on it for a month, but that I was too nervous to make it.  I wanted it to be perfect - it was a gift.  I laugh at myself now - I had nothing to worry about.  Despite all the steps, and my concern for messing it up, this project really is simple.  So simple, that I had the blue one made in 2 hours, from start to finish, including set up and clean up time.

You can purchase the directions to make this buggy, and a matching card, at Paper Craft Central.

Non-Stampin' UP! project share

WARNING:
No Stampin' UP! products were used to make this particular project.

50 baby girl tags

A friend at work is giving a friend of hers a baby shower in a couple on months.  When she saw my baby tags (see my slide show at the bottom of my blog) she knew they would be prefect for the shower.  She chose the color and animals that will match the mom-to-be's nursery set:

The blanket from the nursery set.

The 5 different designs of the tags.

I found the 5 baby animals that matched her nursery set to embellish the tags.  The tags and baby animals were cut on my Cricut.  The hearts are a heart punch, in two different sizes.  I know my friend was happy with them.  I really hope the mom-to-be LOVES them!

Happy Wednesday!

Baby cards and gift

Baby Gift!

This is a baby gift I make for my best friend (she's expecting twins, one of each, in the fall).
I got this idea from Heather Summers, in her "Simply Babies class". What it is, is a box of tags for mom to take to the hospital. When friends and family come to visit, they can write a note on the tag for the baby(s). A picture can be taken of the visitor with the baby(s). Mom can then put the picture, along with the tag, in the baby's scrap book, for an instant scrapbook page.
I cut the tags on my die cutting machine, using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge. I cut the cirle Pooh Bears from the Disney Pooh & Friends cartridge. I used a circle and scallop circle punch (SU!) for finish off the Pooh Bear embellishments. If you look closely, you will see I used brads to hold the ribbon together. I cut off the extra medal tabs on the brads after I wrapped them around the ribbon.

Baby Cards!

I made these two baby cards for friends. The first one was a card a gave to a new mom who had a baby boy in July. The second one is the card I gave to my best friend who is due to have twins (one of each) this fall.
I found this idea on Andrea Walford's blog. I just love this blog. Go HERE for the tutorial on how to make the baby bundle card. It was so much fun to make. I will be making more of them!
Have a WONDERFUL Sunday!
