A Fancy Christmas Card

I wanted to make a very special Christmas card to give two very special people.  When I sat down to make these cards, I had no idea what I was going to make.  I looked around my stamp room and stopped when I saw this card:

Idea came from Bonnie Fields

I knew I wanted to CASE this card - but give it a Christmas feel to it.  So, here is was I came up with.  What do you think?

My CASE of Bonnie's card

I love how this card turned out!  This picture does not do it justice.

RECIPE

CARD STOCK:  Whisper White, Real Red, Always Artichoke, & Silver Glimmer Paper

INKS:  Real Red & Always Artichoke

STAMPS:  Serene Snowflakes & Christmas Greetings

TOOLS:  Snowflake Punch, 1-1/4" Square Punch, 1-3/8" Square Punch, Mini Sliver Brads, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, 5/8" Real Red Satin Ribbon, & Glue Dots

Most of the time I do not come up with my own designs.  I CASE, (Copy And Share Everything), a lot!  I love someone else's idea and I remake it, making it my own.  This is what Stampin' Up! is all about.   I hope you CASE what I post here and make it your own.  Just PLEASE remember the golden rule - always give credit where credit is due.  As you will notice, I ALWAYS give credit when it's not my idea.  Just think how you would feel if you designed something and someone else copied it and took all the credit for it.

With that said, please feel free to CASE what I post here - that is why I share my ideas with all of you!

Happy Tuesday!

Workshop Door Prize

At every workshop I do I have a door prize.  In exchange for personal information (address, phone number, and email address), I offer a door prize.

This is a little cellophane bag full of snowflake and ornament punches.  The recipient of this prize was very excited to get it.

Book your workshop and have one of your guests win a door prize like this one.

The date has FINALLY arrived!

Well, tomorrow is my big day!  I will doing my first workshop!  I'm so excited and nervous, all at the same time.  A co-worker is hosting this workshop.  She is so excited, which will help me feel more relaxed.  I hope her sale total is great!  I want her to earn a lot of goodies.

The theme of the workshop is Christmas cards.  Since most of the guests are new to stamping and Stampin' UP!, I chose simple, yet beautiful cards.

This first card was not my idea.  I got the idea from Carol Payne, at THIS post. This card was done with the snowflake stamp and snowflake punch.  The colors are Kraft, Bordering Blue, and Whisper White.  The Kraft strip is also paper pierced, for a really quick, easy, and beautiful look.

These next two cards were inspired by Brenda Keenan,
at THIS post.  I opted to do the cards in classic Christmas colors (Real Red or Glorious Green), allowing my customers to choose which color they want their card to be, as well as the ink color.  I can't wait to see what they come up with.  This card uses the Patterned Pine hostess, level 1, stamp set, the snowflake punch, and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  I love how easy and simplistic this card is and how beautiful it turned out.

Wish me and my hostess good luck tomorrow evening.  May everyone in attendance have fun, enjoy the workshop and want more Stampin' UP!

Happy Wednesday!
