FREE Stampin' Up! ribbon and a GREAT idea!

Do you LOVE the new Stampin' Up! 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in the new In-colors?  If so, this deal is for you!

Click HERE to order Stampin' Up! products from my website, 24/7

With every $40 you spend, you receive 1 spool of the Stampin' Up! 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.  Check out the 5 new colors:

So, if you spend $80, you'll get 2 spools.  Fun, right?  Of course, now you're saying, "Sandy, I already have so much ribbon, and I simply LOVE this ribbon, and HAVE to have some.  But, what do I do with all this ribbon?"

How about you make this card:

I first saw this idea on Dawn Griffith's blog, then my team leader demonstrated how to make it.  It's SO simple!  You also use all your ribbon scraps.  It's so pretty when you're done, and it makes the person who receives it smile.

MINI TUTORIAL

First punch your punch in the top layer.  Place that layer on top of your card and, with a pencil, trace your punched image.  Next coved that penciled punch with SNAIL adhesive, going outside your line just slightly.  Next lay your ribbon over your SNAIL adhesive in which ever direction you wish.  Place your layer on top and embellish.  That simple!

RECIPE

CARD STOCK:  Whisper White & Melon Mambo

INK:  Versa Mark & Signo White Gel Pen

STAMPS:  Sassy Salutations

TOOLS:  Blossom Punch, Melon Mambo Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, various scraps of pink ribbon

I hope this card and mini tutorial gives you an idea on how to some of that wonderful ribbon you have.  Use it, don't just leave it on the spool like I do.  It's too pretty to not use!

French Foliage Card

There are some Stampin' Up! colors that I would NEVER think to put together.  The following card is a very good example of this:

Designed by Bonnie Fields

Who would have thought that Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, and Garden Green would look this lovely together?  Definitely not me!  This is such a rich and warm color combination.  It makes a wonderful fall-themed card, as well as an inviting "you're in my thoughts" type of card.

RECIPE

CARD STOCK:   Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, & Very Vanilla

INKS:  Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, Garden Green, & River Rock

STAMPS:  French Foliage & Word Play

TOOLS:  Elegant Eggplant 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon & Stampin' Dimensionals

I hope you give this color combination a try.  The picture just does not do it justice.

Mini Cork Board

This is a mini cork board I made last week.  I CaSEd the idea from Lisa Freeman, from THIS post.

I used Certainly Celery, Old Olive and Whisper White.  I found the cork, in 12 x 12 sheets, at the drug store, of all places.  But can also find it at places where you can buy office supplies.

Here is a close up of the detail at the top of my mini cork board:

I was thinking of hosting a class to make these.  If  I have enough interest, I will do that.  So if you would like to make one, please either leave me a comment or e-mail me.  If I have enough interest, I will set up a date and we will make them!
